Postcard Exchange Project # 12: More Postcards From Japan

We have enjoyed receiving postcards from Clarissa of Japan. She has sent 4 cards already! We are blessed by her generosity. Thank you! We are sending one to your way today. We are learning a lot about your Japan through the postcards you sent.

This is Bandai Azuma Skyline: Fudosawa Bridge. Clarissa wrote that during the Golden Week which is the longest holiday in Japan, her family went there and enjoyed the beautiful sceneries. Though is was a long drive but they all had fun.

This is, according to Clarissa, is a picture of a Geisha on a woodblock print, which is one of the impressive works of Kitagawa Utamaro, who is considered as one of the greatest artists of woodblock prints (ukiyo-e) or "pictures of the floating world".
