To study is a command.....

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15

In some translations, STUDY is translated as "be diligent"or "do your best". So, here,  "study" does not mean academically. And I hope that's not the message you're getting from the picture I used :-)

Our family is happy that the curriculum we are using for our homeschool program  integrates Bible principles and verses into all subjects.  My children memorize and recite verses everyday and we make sure that they understand what each verse means, and show them life situations where the verse is applied.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17

  3. Wonderful message this morning -- I love hearing of kiddos that are being taught the Bible along with reading, writing, and arithmetic.

And it's so true -- we're told to learn the scriptures - to be able to answer (correctly!) why we have the faith we do. Thank God that He can also help me know what to say when put on the spot! lol!!
