Give Love on Christmas Day

The Joy of Giving. That's the theme of our Christmas here. It is started by my girls who has been buying gifts for our relatives and friends out from their savings. Even before we put up our little tree, they have already wrapped some gifts for their cousins. Even today, they ran to the mall across our street to buy some more. Where they get the money? From doing extra house chores, car washing and from their saved weekly allowance.

As a family we also have gifts for friends and relatives. Here's Zoe helping us buy the biggest gift for her littlest cousin, Jacob, who is just 3 months old.

She was tired after shopping but was so eager to deliver the gift that night.

As for our gifts to our own children, we already have them lying beside the little tree. I cannot tell you now what we have for them because my children will be reading this post and it's no longer a surprise. I'm very sure they will love them. But it seems like they will be more excited to deliver more gifts than opening their own.

Tomorrow, dh and I are shopping for baskets of goodies for 2 families that have become dear to us. Also, there is a plan to hold a Christmas party in our community center. I'm not yet certain how and when it gonna be. But surely will do it.

I am as excited as my kids to see others feel loved on Christmas day.

The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens,
easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts
becomes for us the magic of Christmas.
