Some Things Don't Change ....

.... They just improved!

It's a good timing that Chris' (of The Mommy Journey) theme for her Mommy Moments meme is "Before and After". Just the same theme I had in mind for our 1st blogoversary post. So after reading this post, please hop on to her blog and meet other moms celebrating the growing-up years of their children.

This is my first born son, Ben, when he was 10 years old. He was very much into drawing and painting.

Now, he's 17 and is still into the same hobby. His skill has improved a lot. He's more into drawing cartoons and manga style comics.

Naomi was still 4 years old when we enrolled her to a dance class. She enjoyed going to class even in the middle of winter where the road was covered with thick snow.

Now, she's 11 and still in a dance class. She wants to be a dance teacher when she grows up.

My littlest daughter, Zoe, likes reading. She was still 2 in this picture. She wore a pretend old man's glasses and a pair of mismatched socks. She liked to read until she's ready to sleep.

She brings books wherever she goes, and that keeps her occupied. This one was taken when she was 5, while we were on a train for a 13-hour trip to another province.

Now, she's 8 and still as happy as a clam when she has a book with her.

This photo was taken in Spring 2005.

They've grown a lot in a short time.

I'm just glad that some good things never change.
