Simplest Flower: Hibiscus

"Mom, hibiscus!"

I was so thrilled when Naomi pointed my attention to the healthy hibiscus bushes thriving in the corner near the entrance to our new neighborhood. The flowers are so big and with vibrant colors.

I love hibiscus! It is the simplest flower for me.

In Malaysia, being it's national flower, it is called Bunga Raya (Bunga = flower, Raya = great).
I grew up calling it gumamela.

  7. These are such beautiful flowers. It amazes me to see them in other parts of the world, which makes our globe seem smaller! My brother had many in his garden this year in northern Colorado. I plan to have some next year to replace ones that didn't make it through our harsh winter last year. ♥♫
