Storm In Our City

We were on the road when the rain started to pour. There was a storm that hit the Philippines last week and so Thailand was also slightly affected.

It rained cats and dogs. The road was like a river so we had to dive slowly.

Our city normally has many motorcycles on the road but when it rains like this motorists  stop under flyovers and bridges and wait until the rain stops. Only those who have raincoats and those who are in hurry continue their journey.

There was no turning back. We just prayed that the water would not go deeper. We didn't want to get stuck in the middle of the road again! I remember one evening where I had to get down on a knee-high water and helped push our van.

It's not really safe to drive in times like this. So it is always wise to know the weather forecast before going on a trip.

We finally came to a drier area but it was there where we were stuck in a very slow traffic. Oh, Bangkok!

Stay safe in the storm! Drive carefully.

By the way, we're having a giveaway here.

If you wanted to see more watery sights, click here.

  1. in the rain, the streets of Bangkok look the same as Manila.:p

  2. I really get a sense of watery wetness from your photos.

  3. I think you got the water perfectly for the meme! We don't often get downpours here, but my husband and I did drive through one somewhat like this a few years ago near Portland, Oregon. Visibility was close to zero for a while!

Thank you for your visit and for becoming a follower!

Your comment is very much appreciated. But please know that my young homeschoolers will be reading this also. Thank you.
